So what happens when you run into your friend who works as a magazine editor and drink one too many cocktails? You end up agreeing to make clothes for a feline fashion show that's what. 

After a "hillarious" email back and forth we were ready to offer up our customer faves, in cat size, to the talent. Sadly, Miss Kitty was a bit of a diva and not in the zone on the selected day. No amount of cat treats and coaxing could get her to pose properly, this was the only image that DNAnderson was able to get. There is a Fiona Heather birdy collar under all that fluff we promise! 

Anyway, it was a lot of fun. We made a lot of cat related jokes and we will be recasting with a more suitable candidate soon. You can see more of the kitty pieces and other behind the scenes teasers if you follow us on Instagram!

Impulse Magazine

Thanks to the lovely Danielle for inviting me to interview for Impulse Magazine. She even treated me to tea and cake. Lovely. 

Bonnie Bridesmaids

So, on 4th May 2013 I got Hitched in the Highlands! Although I wasn't brave enough to make my own dress, I did design and make my bridesmaid dresses. 

My girls are all so individual that I wanted to make them something true to their own style. The wedding itself was a pretty relaxed, Springtime garden party so we echoed that by choosing fresh, complimenting, mismatched colours for the dresses. With a bit of input from the dolls themselves, I made a classic box pleated dress, with stunning slash back in pale blue for my cousin. A pale, dove grey, backless dress for my sis. Finally, a simple, unstructured, peach dress. Again, with a slash back, for my fave gal. 

To tie us all together I used a delicate Chantilly lace as detailing across the dresses. This lace also featured on my dress and I really love the sentiment that they all had a piece of the wedding gown with them, as opposed to just matching the flowers.

I have also shared the mood board I put together in the early stages of designing and pooling my MANY ideas. I hope you like them, I’m sure you can agree the girls looked absolutely radiant and I can’t thank them enough for all of the support over the day and days leading up to our beautiful wedding.

When Skies Are Grey
